Hat On!
Every year the Canadian Mental Health Association dedicates a week in May to raise the awareness of Mental Health. This year Mental Health Week will run May 6-10, and Hats On! for Mental Health Day will take place on May 8. Albertans are invited to wear a hat to raise awareness of the importance of good mental health.
Ninja Dash – Wednesday May 29
It’s just around the corner! Our annual Ninja Dash will be held on May 29, and we need YOUR help. This event is not only tons of fun, but also our biggest fundraiser of the year. We will need 50 volunteers on that day. Can you be one of our volunteers please?
Photos needed – Sacraments
At MWI, we prioritize commemorating the significant Catholic sacraments as our students receive them. Please send your child’s teacher a photo of your child partaking in their sacrament that we can display on our Sacrament Board.
Student Faith Leadership Award
On April 10, Annaliese from 3/4B accepted her award as the MWI Student Faith Leader. She was honoured by our Trustee, Lisa Turchansky. Congratulations, Anneliese. Bravo!

Lenten Project
Thank you for your support with our Lenten project. We will be donating $1500.00 to Catholic Social Services, and we know they will be thrilled! Come by and see our completed mural.
SCHOOL COUNCIL NEWS
School Council Meeting
Please join us for our next School Council meeting on Monday April 15. We will be meeting in the school’s staff room, and we will also have an online option through TEAMS.

Hot Dog and Ice Cream Lunch
We are offering another MWI Hot Dog Hot Lunch! All students are welcome to order a hot dog and an ice cream, Kindergarten students included! Here are the details.
When: Friday May 10, 2024
Menu: Jumbo hot dog with an ice cream treat
Cost: $4.50 per combo
Please order your child’s hot lunch on PowerSchool starting on Friday April 26 and before Friday May 3. As there are no options to select, you only need to indicate, and pay for, the number of combos your child wants. Kindergarten students will receive their lunch at 11:00 AM for the morning class and at 12:45 PM for the afternoon class. See poster below.
