Preparing for Holy Week

Even though we won’t be at school during Holy Week, our students will remain engaged in the exploration of the significance of the Stations of the Cross and the Last Supper. Through guided sessions, students will learn about the events leading up to Jesus’ crucifixion by delving into scripture, prayer, and reflection. Throughout the final school week of Lent, we will continue our commitment to prayer, fasting, and almsgiving.

Lenten Project

This Lenten season, we are once again supporting Catholic Social Services, the organization founded by our namesake, William Irwin, who was dedicated to aiding vulnerable members of our community. There is still time to sponsor a tile. Go to PowerSchool to see the four options. Help us complete our mosaic!

Here’s what the mural looks like so far.

Ninja Dash – Wednesday May 29

Ninja Dash is on May 29!

It’s just around the corner! Our annual Ninja Dash will be held on May 29, and we need YOUR help. This event is not only tons of fun, but also our biggest fundraiser of the year. We will need 50 volunteers on that day. Can you be one of our volunteers please?

Bravo Brick Breakers!

On February 24, The Brick Breakers won the Motivate Award for “embracing the culture of FIRST LEGO League through team building, team spirit and displayed enthusiasm”. They also placed 4th overall and will be competing in provincials in Red Deer on March 16. They have been working so hard and we are already immensely proud! Thank you to their coaches, Mrs. D’Agostini, Mrs. Ostopowich, and Mme Sandy.

Basketball Free Throw

Our students had a great time at St. John XXIII at the Knights of Columbus Free Throw Championship. This event provides an athletic outlet and encourage the values of sportsmanship and healthy competition. Bravo Golden Wolves and thank you coaches.

Carnaval Sashes

It’s not too late to purchase a sash. These handmade woolen sashes are available for purchase on PowerSchool. A small sash, good for Kinder to Grade 3, is $5.30 and a medium sash, good for Grades 4 to 6, is $6.30.

Pre-enrollment for current students

Pre-enrolment for the 2024-2025 school year is due on March 22. This process is key in helping us understand how many students we will be expecting in September 2024. Your participation supports the Division in making informed decisions regarding staffing, class sizes, and program offerings.

All students in the Division are required to complete the pre-enrolment process whether they are staying with their current school or transitioning into Kindergarten, Junior High, or High School.

The pre-enrolment process will run until March 22, 2024. Log into PowerSchool and select your preferred school for the 2024-2025 school year by clicking the “Pre-Enrolment for Next Year” icon.
